υποθέτω οτι μιλάμε για PPP GDP και όχι nominal. Επίσης μου κάνει εντύπωση οτι πέρα από τη Σαγκάη και το Πεκινό, πόλεις με τόσο σημαντική οικονομία είναι παντελώς άγνωστες σε μας τους Ευρωπαίους.

Λογικο, ο μεσος ελληνας δεν εχει καμια επαφη με την κινεζικη κουλτουρα, ενω την αμερικανικη την ξερουμε μεσω ταινιων και τραγουδιων.

Πχ την Αλαμπαμα την εχουμε ακουστα μεσω του γνωστου τραγουδιου. Αντιστοιχες επαρχιες ή πολεις της Κινας δεν μας ειναι γνωστες μεσω της ποπ κουλτουρας.

Τι αξια εχει το nominal οταν π.χ. στη Μοσχα εγω σημερα γεμισα 50 λιτρα ντεποζιτο βενζίνη περιπου με 30 ευρω ενω στη Σαλονίκη πληρωνω 80;

Xi Jinping's dream to connect the entire world economy with Chinese-built infrastructure is poised to claim its biggest victory yet

Italy is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with China to take part in its giant Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) trade project, the Financial Times reported.

The BRI aims to link China with dozens of countries around the world with mostly Chinese infrastructure.
Italy, the 8th-biggest economy in the world, would be the largest so far to join the BRI.

The White House National Security Council said it was "skeptical" of the investment and warned that the BRI is "made by China, for China's initiative."

Italy is reportedly preparing to join China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the massive trade project aiming to connect the country to dozens of nations across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas through Chinese-built infrastructure.

Defying Allies, Italy Signs On to New Silk Road With China

ROME — Italy resisted the entreaties and warnings of its European Union and American allies on Saturday by officially joining China’s vast new Silk Road at a signing ceremony with President Xi Jinping of China, a move that crystallized shifting geopolitical balances and the populist Italian government’s willingness to break with its traditional partners.

The agreement will “build a better relationship” between China and Italy, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte of Italy said.

Italy became the first of the Group of 7 nations that once dominated the global economy to take part in China’s “One Belt One Road” project, which makes enormous infrastructure investments to move Chinese goods and resources throughout Asia, Africa and Europe.

The Trump administration, which tried and failed to stop the deal, focused in the days leading up to Mr. Xi’s visit on blocking any Italian use of 5G wireless networks developed by the Chinese electronics giant Huawei, which Washington warned could be used by Beijing to spy on communications networks.
