Το τραγούδι-εμβατήριο κυκλοφόρησε το 1938 και έγινε διάσημο και αγαπητό στους Γερμανούς πολύ πριν ξεκινήσει ο Β’ Παγκόσμιος Πόλεμος.

"Στους αγρούς ανθίζει ένα μικρό λουλούδι
και το λένε Έρικα.

Ανυπόμονες, χιλιάδες μικρές μέλισσες
τριγυρίζουν την Έρικα
γιατί η καρδιά της είναι γεμάτη γλύκα και το λουλουδάτο της φόρεμα ευωδιάζει.

Στους αγρούς ανθίζει ένα μικρό λουλούδι
και το λένε Έρικα...."

Ασχέτως του ότι χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως ναζιστικό εμβατήριο, αντικειμενικά είναι όμορφο τραγουδάκι .. μελισσούλες ,κοριτσάκια, έρωτας κλπ
