Δεν είναι σαφές μέχρι στιγμής ποιο από τα δύο εγκεκριμένα εμβόλια του είχε χορηγηθεί, δηλαδή εκείνο των Pfizer/BioNTech ή αυτό της Moderna. Απεβίωσε την 21η Ιανουαρίου, διευκρίνισε το γραφείο του σερίφη της κομητείας Πλάσερ.

Ευρωπαϊκές χώρες, ανάμεσά τους η Ολλανδία και η Βουλγαρία, έχουν καταγράψει παρενέργειες σε ανθρώπους στους οποίους χορηγήθηκε το προϊόν των Pfizer/BioNTech.

Τον Δεκέμβριο, ένας άνθρωπος πέθανε σε γηροκομείο στην Ελβετία μερικές ημέρες αφού του χορηγήθηκε η πρώτη δόση του εμβολίου αυτού, αλλά δεν διαπιστώθηκε καμία σύνδεση του θανάτου του με το σκεύασμα.

Την περασμένη εβδομάδα, κάτοικος του Βελγίου πέθανε πέντε ημέρες αφού του χορηγήθηκε το ίδιο εμβόλιο. Διενεργείται έρευνα.

Έρευνες πραγματοποιούνται επίσης στη Νορβηγία για τους θανάτους 23 ανθρώπων μετά τον εμβολιασμό τους με το προϊόν των Pfizer/BioNTech.

Health care worker dies after second dose of COVID vaccine, investigations underway

Tim Zook’s last post on Facebook brimmed with optimism. “Never been so excited to get a shot before,” he wrote on Jan. 5, above a photo of the Band-Aid on his arm and his COVID-19 vaccination card. “I am now fully vaccinated after receiving my 2nd Pfizer dose.”

Zook, 60, was an X-ray technologist at South Coast Global Medical Center in Santa Ana. A couple of hours later, he had an upset stomach and trouble breathing. By 3:30 p.m. it was so bad his colleagues at work walked him to the emergency room. “Should I be worried?” his wife, Rochelle, texted when she got the news. “No, absolutely not,” he texted back. “Do you think this is a direct result of the vaccine?” she typed. “No, no,” he said. “I’m not sure what. But don’t worry.”
There were suspicions of COVID and a diagnosis of congestive heart failure. Zook was put on oxygen, then — just four hours later — a BiPAP machine to help push air into the lungs. Multiple tests came back negative for COVID.

Shortly after midnight on Jan. 7, the hospital called. Zook was in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator to help him breathe. But his blood pressure soon dropped and he was transferred to UC Irvine Medical Center. “On Friday I get a call, ‘His kidneys are failing. He needs to be on dialysis. If not, he could die — but there’s also a chance he might have a heart attack or stroke on dialysis because his blood pressure is so low,’ ” Rochelle Zook said.
By 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, Zook had gone “code blue” twice and was snatched back from the brink of death. There was a third code blue in the afternoon. “They said if he went code blue a fourth time, he’d have brain damage and be a vegetable if he survives,” Rochelle Zook said.

Later that day, Tim Zook died.

19-year-old hospitalized in ICU days after receiving second Pfizer vaccine

A 19-year-old was hospitalized with myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle, five days after receiving his second dose of the coronavirus vaccine, TEREM emergency medical clinics reported.
According to the clinic, it has still not been confirmed with certainty that the inflammation was developed as a side-effect to the vaccination. However, a number of COVID-19-related myocarditis cases have been reported, according to the National Institutes of Health.

Side effect of COVID-19 vaccine mirrors breast cancer symptom, doctors say

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Local doctors are reporting a surprising side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine that mirrors a symptom of breast cancer.

“We have been seeing swollen lymph nodes for a couple weeks now,” said Dr. Holly Marshall with University Hospitals.
Marshall says breast radiologists have encountered axillary adenopathy, also known as swollen lymph nodes, on screening mammograms of patients who have been vaccinated.

It’s a surprising side effect that could be mistaken for breast cancer.

“It’s actually a normal response that the body has to the vaccine,” said Marshall.

Marshall says doctors made the discovery because the lymph nodes seen under the arm are included on a mammogram. Patients can also feel them.

Marshall says the swollen lymph nodes are on the same side as the placement of the vaccine.
“We also see swollen lymph nodes in patients with breast cancer, so that’s the concern there. So we are asking everybody who is having a mammogram if they had the COVID-19 vaccine, what dose, when, and what side?” said Marshall.

Marshall says UH’s Radiology and Breast Cancer Imaging Department has received increased calls from women concerned over the signs.

“It means that the body is making antibodies to fight the COVID-19 infection,” said Marshall.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, over 11 percent of vaccine recipients experience swollen lymph nodes after one dose, and 16 percent do so after the second dose.
“This definitely came as a surprise. Sometimes with other vaccines, occasionally we will see swollen lymph nodes, but it was a surprise how many we’ve been seeing,” said Marshall.

Marshall says patients are seeing swollen lymph nodes two to four days after the vaccine and they decrease in size after two to four weeks. If they persist longer than that, Marshall says they need to
be evaluated.

“This really shows the importance of women getting an annual mammogram screening starting when they are 40-years-old. Do not delay,” said Marshall.

• Αυτό σημαίνει ότι ΤΑ CDC «ΕΞΑΦΑΝΙΣΑΝ» 517 ΘΑΝΑΤΟΥΣ ΑΠΟ ΤΟ ΣΥΝΟΛΟ ΤΩΝ 1.170 ΘΑΝΑΤΩΝ που αναφέρονται στη βάση δεδομένων VAERS (1.170 – 653 = 517).
